FAQs

How long will it take to apply eyelash extensions, and how is it done?

Lashes are applied while you are lying down with your eyes closed. This beauty rest can take about 2 hours for a full set. After cleaning and priming your lashes, your bottom lashes are protected with gel eye pads, and then lash extensions are applied with medical adhesive. It is a meticulous procedure that requires patience and concentration, so, therefore, it should not be rushed, and you can leave with a perfect set of lashes.

How long do eyelash extensions last?

Eyelash extensions can last up to 6-8 weeks when adequately cared for. However, they are no longer full at 4 weeks. Therefore fills are recommended to keep your lashes full. The extensions will shed with the natural growth cycle of your lashes. If you choose to get touch-ups in between, they will last as long as you continue to fill them in.

Is there anything I should do to prepare for my appointment?

Do not wear eye makeup. Makeup close to the eye must be removed before application with an oil-free cleanser. This will minimize the cleanup time and allow us to spend more time working on perfecting your lashes. Contact lenses must be removed before the application process. If you wear contact lenses, wear glasses instead to your appointment or bring a lens case and remove them when you arrive at your appointment.

Do the eyelash extensions damage my lashes?

When properly applied, there is no risk to your natural lashes. Lash extensions should not, in any way, damage your own lashes. Of course, proper care can ensure that this does not occur. Be sure not to pick at, pull, or play with your new lashes to extend the extensions’ lives.

How do I take care of my eyelash extensions?

  • Do not use cosmetics that contain oil. Avoid glycol and oil-based products.
  • Avoid contact with water or moisture for the first 24 hours.
  • Do not use waterproof mascara, waterproof makeup, and eyelash curlers
  • Do not rub your eyes and pick or pull your eyelashes
  • Use oil-free foamy eye makeup remover
  • Brush lashes gently and daily from the top down to avoid tangling
